We are looking for a research engineer in tumor immunology.  

The position

Your future tasks include in vitro culture and differentiation of tumor and immune cells, analysis of tissues and cells from lymphoma mouse models after treatment with immunotherapy, and genotyping of mice. You will work with methods such as flow cytometry, immunofluorescence, and molecular biology. Your tasks also include maintaining lab protocols, ordering reagents and introducing new members of the research group.

The person we need

We are looking for you with a Master´s Degree in biomedicin or equivalent. 

We want you to have:

  • experience working with leukemia and lymphoma mouse models
  • experience with isolation of bone marrow cells and differentiation of dendritic cells 
  • good knowledge of immunology and experience working in the field of tumor immunology 

The position also requires experience of following techniques and methods:  

  • Mammalian cell culture
  • Fluoroscence microscopy (widefield and confocal) 
  • Microscopy image analysis with ImageJ/FIJI
  • Spectral flow cytometry 

Meritorious is if you have: 

  • experience with mouse genotyping 
  • knowledge of immunological and molecular biology techniques such as ELISA, PCR and Western blot 

The position requires excellent knowledge of English, both spoken and written. 

As person you are independent and structured. You have good communication and cooperation skills. 

The workplace

You will work at the Division of Molecular Medicine and Virology (MMV) in Judit Arvelund's research group. The research group studies the role of the immune system in the development of cancer, in particular lymphomas, and how this knowledge can be harnessed to develop cancer immunotherapies.

The employment

This employment is full-time permanent employment. 

Starting in november or by agreement.
