The position
As AI Training Program Officer, you will be responsible for shaping and delivering MIMER’s structured training and skills development offering. The role combines strategic program design, operational coordination and ecosystem engagement. You will work closely with MIMER’s data scientists, technical experts, partner organizations and external trainers to ensure that training activities are aligned with AI compute services and real-world use cases.
Main Responsibilities
- AI Training Portfolio Development
- Design structured AI adoption pathways (introductory, applied, advanced and deployment-focused training).
- Develop and coordinate hands-on workshops, bootcamps, hackathons and technical courses using HPC and AI infrastructure.
- Align training activities with MIMER’s compute services and expert support model.
- Ensure that training content is practical, use-case driven and relevant for academia, industry (focusing on SMEs and startups) and public sector actors.
- Industry & Ecosystem Engagement
- Organize AI literacy sessions for companies and public organizations.
- Facilitate co-creation workshops to help organizations identify and clarify AI use cases.
- Build and coordinate a network of trainers, experts and partner organizations.
- Collaborate with universities, research infrastructures and European AI initiatives.
- Operational Coordination
- Plan and manage training schedules, registrations and communication.
- Coordinate logistics for in-person and online events.
- Support the development and maintenance of a training portal or digital learning environment.
- Contribute to reporting and documentation within national and European initiatives.
- Impact & Quality Assurance
- Define and track key performance indicators for training activities.
- Monitor participant feedback and continuous improvement of the training portfolio.
- Assess how training contributes to AI adoption, compute usage and project maturity.
The person we need
The person we need is a proactive and structured individual who enjoys building new initiatives. You are collaborative, solution-oriented and comfortable working at the intersection of technology, education and innovation. You are motivated by enabling others and contributing to the development of Sweden’s AI capabilities.
The following education, experience and expertise are required:
- A PhD or equivalent e.g. a master’s degree with several years of working experience in natural sciences, computational sciences, engineering or mathematics.
- Experience in coordinating, designing or delivering training in AI, data science, digital technologies or related fields.
- Ability to translate complex technical topics into accessible and structured learning experiences.
- Experience collaborating with technical experts and multi-stakeholder environments.
- Experience with version control systems such as Git, and reproducible ways-of-working (for example Jupyter notebooks, Markdown etc.).
- Excellent communication skills in English (written and spoken).
In addition, the following education, experience and expertise will strengthen an application:
- Experience with AI/ML, data science or HPC environments.
- Experience working with industry, startups or public sector organizations.
- Experience organizing bootcamps, workshops or technical training programs.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms, GPU environments or scientific computing.
- Experience in EU-funded projects or international collaborations.
- Experience working with learning management systems or digital learning tools.
- Knowledge of Open Science and FAIR principles.
- Knowledge of science communication, outreach or pedagogical principles.
- Strong organizational and project coordination skills.

The employment
Permanent position, full-time, 100%. Starting date by agreement.
The position involves a role as Coordinator.
