AI use in research and research education

AI has become an important part of research and research education thanks to the ever-expanding range of tools and applications becoming available all the time. At the same time AI poses challenges to research with relation to data management, privacy and even hallucinations! Within research education there is an expectation that doctoral candidates should produce their own text, which can be difficult to assess when powerful AI tools are used.

Welcome to a seminar on AI use in research and research education, co-organised between TEMA and IBL, 20 August at Campus Valla. Fika will be provided. Register by 12 August at the link below.

The first part will comprise keynote talks by Katarina Sperling, IBL, who has conducted research on AI in education and Amy Loutfi, Program Director for WASP and LiU guest professor. This will be followed by a panel discussion with Veronica Brodén Gyberg (Tema), Katherine Harrison (Tema), Katarina Sperling (IBL) and Lars Lindblom (IKOS).

Attendees are invited to post questions for the panel to discuss either during the seminar or in advance (and anonymously) through this form: Anonymous input to Panel discussion on AI in research and research education.
