20 November 2025 – Digital4Business (D4B) Day at LiU

D4B Day at LiU: The Digital4Business Master’s Programme was officially presented in Linköping

On 1 November, Linköping University hosted Digital4Business (D4B) Day, an event designed to introduce prospective students and industry representatives in Sweden to the Digital4Business Master’s Programme. The focus was on presenting LiU’s two modules within the programme, AI for Business and Cybersecurity for Business, and offering opportunities for discussion about the skills and competencies required in an increasingly digitalised economy in Europe.

D4B LiU team: Sanjay Chakraborty, Katerina Linden, Susan Harrington, Gurjot Singh

The D4B Day was organised alongside the LiTHeHax LIU-CTF Halloween Edition, one of LiU’s largest annual cybersecurity happenings that consistently draws substantial interest from both students and professionals. This placement ensured steady footfall throughout the day and enabled D4B information to reach a broad group of individuals interested in cybersecurity and emerging digital technologies. Represented organisations included Linköping Science Park, IEEE Sweden, Women4Cyber, FRO, IEEE Young Professionals, IEEE Foundation, FOI, @Cyberly,  BEiNG-WISE, ISACA Sweden Chapter, HiQ, IEEE Region 8 Women In Engineering, ELLIIT, and Sectra.

Throughout the day, teachers from the AI for Business and Cybersecurity for Business modules hosted a dedicated Digital4Business information booth, where they engaged actively with visitors. Faculty members answered questions about the programme’s structure, content, and application process, and participated in discussions about AI adoption, cybersecurity issues, as well as career trajectories and digital transformation challenges in Swedish industry. Visitors were invited to register their interest, and many left their contact details for updates and application information. D4B informational flyers were distributed widely, making their way across Sweden by the end of the day.

The main programme presentation took place in the Ida Lovelace lecture hall, attended by more than 140 participants. The session offered an overview of the Digital4Business Master’s programme’s aims, learning outcomes, structure, and the broader European ambitions. The talk sparked strong interest, leading to the follow-up questions.

After the presentation, an informal coffee meet-and-greet session was held with LiU faculty involved in the D4B modules. This provided a quieter setting for prospective students and potential industry partners to discuss academic expectations, internship possibilities, and future collaboration opportunities in a relaxed setting.

Overall, D4B Day contributed to raising awareness of the Digital4Business Master’s Programme within Sweden, particularly among those considering further study in digital technologies or seeking to improve their digital skills. The event facilitated direct engagement with potential applicants and strengthened LiU’s role as a contributor to advanced digital skills development in the Swedish context.
