Martin Berzell's research has mostly been focused on philosophy of science and metaphysics. His thesis ”Electronic Healthcare Ontologies” was a study regarding the theoretical foundations of medical informatics, and the philosophical problems in that field. The thesis got some attention when it was published. Also has some interests in philosophy of health and philosophy of medicine, mostly of conceptual analysis.
