Adjunct Professor Rehabilitation Medicine, senior consultant. Board certified in Neurology in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.


I have been a professor of Rehabilitation medicine since 2009, during 2009 – 2016 at the University of Umeå, and since 2016 at Linköping University. Since the fall of 2023, I retired from clinical work at Linköping University Hospital. My main research foci include neurological rehabilitation, spinal cord injury and, in recent years, COVID-19 and its sequels.

During my career, I have lectured thousands of hours on neurology, rehabilitation medicine, spinal cord injury, post COVID condition, and on philosophical and existential aspects of medicine. Audiences have been medical and paramedical students, colleagues and laypeople.
