Veronica Lindström

Associate Professor

My research focuses on sustainable production and is in line with Agenda 2030, goal no. 12. I develop and measure sustainable manufacturing processes and develop operations strategies.

Presentation

I am part of the research group in production economics and conduct research on:

  • Production strategies
  • Automation and digitisation in production
  • Streamlining production flows

Targeted production strategies

I recently participated in a collaborative project called ‘Targeted Production Strategies’ funded by the Swedish Agency for Economic and Regional Growth. The aim of the preliminary study is to describe the current situation regarding the use of operational metrics and the reasons why the company has not implemented metrics at all or only to a limited extent.

Another objective is to compare the conditions and work with metrics in small companies with the work with metrics in a larger manufacturing company, a reference company.

Academic qualifications

  • Doctor of Technology in Product and Production Development, Chalmers University of Technology, 2008
  • Licentiate, Chalmers University of Technology, 2007
  • Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Linköping University, 1991

Education

Teaching in close collaboration with industrial companies.

I teach at master's level in production strategies, production management and production planning and control. I also supervise degree projects in these areas.

I enjoy teaching and over the years have helped our students to carry out their degree projects at industrial companies with real-life challenges.
