Growth of nanostructures and its composites

Making metal oxide nanostructures in low temperature (100 °C).

We are mainly working on the growth and structural and optical characterization of metal oxide nanostructures and its composites.

The growth procedure is following two routes. We use the catalytic vapor liquid solid growth (VLS) which is a high temperature approach (i.e. few 100s oC), and the low temperature aqueous chemical growth (ACG).

In the later route, i.e. ACG, the synthesis temperature can be as low as 40 oC. Indeed this enables us to develop devices for both technical and medical applications on soft and disposable substrates like plastic, papers, etc.
