We are creating an open test battery to study the relationship between cognition and hearing. The aim is to make it accessible for use across Sweden, enabling broader and more inclusive research in the field.

Our project aims to develop and validate an online test battery to explore the relationship between cognition and hearing. The platform enables standardized data collection to facilitate broader and more inclusive research within cognitive hearing science.
The use of online platforms as research tools brings numerous advantages, such as access to more diverse participant groups and immediate data collection for faster and more effective analysis. This approach strengthens research outcomes by enhancing statistical power and representation.

Key Research Questions:

  • How does the validity and reliability of cognitive tests compare between online and traditional laboratory settings?
  • Can auditory tests maintain accuracy and reliability when conducted online?
  • Are established relationships between cognition and hearing generalizable tolarger and more diverse populations through online testing?

By leveraging these insights, the study contributes to the development of more accessible and inclusive methodologies in cognitive hearing science.
