Ethnic enclaves are tightly-knit communities that can help immigrants succeed in their new homeland. This project investigates whether such communities exist in Sweden.

What role do bridges, roads and parks have for the segregation in a city? And is it possible to create a computer model of a whole housing market? Those are two main questions in two new research projects at IAS.

Four LiU researchers will receive a total of SEK 18 million in project grants from the Swedish Research Council within humanities and social sciences. A further SEK 17 million has been awarded to a research environment in migration and integration.
