The Material Realisation Laboratory is a perfect place to learn more about different materials, their properties - and what they feel like. With more than 1,500 samples gathered in one room, it's a great resource for LiU's students.

For the first time since 2013, Malmstens Linköping University is exhibiting at Milan Design Week. In an old monastery in the city centre, ten new pieces highlight the students’ design and craft skills.

Students in the Furniture Design programme at Malmstens accepted the challenge of designing the interior of a young person’s apartment measuring 23 square metres. The result is a window seating, a rail system for wall storage and a room divider.

The international design and furnishing event Salone de Mobile is considered to be the most important of its type in the world. This year’s Malmstens Linköping University will be there. The students will exhibit innovative furniture for modern times.
