The position

The position involves contributing to the strengthening and development of research within the department, both by supporting individual research groups and by participating in joint research initiatives. The work includes collaborating with researchers and leadership, assisting in the development of research ideas and grant applications, and engaging in interdisciplinary collaborations. The role offers good opportunities for academic development and to become an important part of the department’s research environment.

The person we need

The person we need is a motivated and collaborative researcher with a strong ability to work independently, take responsibility for complex research projects, and contribute to the strategic development of our research environment. You are analytical, communicative, and skilled at building national and international networks. The following education, experience and expertise are required:

  • A doctoral degree in epidemiology, biostatistics, or a related field, and continued academic accomplishments beyond the PhD.
  • Documented experience in leading and developing large-scale research programs at a strategic level.
  • Extensive experience in advanced study planning and the implementation of large observational and interventional studies.
  • Highly proficient research expertise in physical activity, with a particular focus on objective measurement methods, including accelerometry.
  • Strong ability to work within complex research environments.
  • Significant research experience in epidemiology, demonstrated through a substantial scientific publication record.

The workplace

The position is located at the Division of Society and Health, which conducts research in areas such as social medicine and public health science, medical education, nutrition, implementation science, eHealth, and sports medicine, as well as undergraduate and postgraduate education in medical sciences.

The employment

 

The position is a full-time, permanent appointment. The start date is negotiable.
