NAISS, the National Academic Infrastructure for Supercomputing in Sweden, provides academic users with high-performance computing resources, storage capacity, and data services. NAISS is hosted by Linköping University and has 12 partner universities across Sweden.

We are now seeking a structured and proactive project manager to support the management of the Mimer AI Factory in the daily operation of the infrastructure. This role is crucial to ensure that strategic objectives are translated into effective implementation across all activities involving our partners and users.

Mimer offer access to AI-optimised supercomputers and services such as training and support to SMEs, startups, researchers, and government agencies. The aim is to advance innovation, boost the adoption of AI and make Europe a leading AI continent. We are hosted by NAISS in partnership with RISE Research Institutes of Sweden and is part of the EU’s ambitious AI Factories initiative.

The position

As project coordinator, you will manage workflows spanning multiple projects, coordinate activities, uphold quality standards, ensure delivery pipelines, and maintain the smooth operation of Mimer’s organisational framework. You will be responsible for preparing and following up on meetings with the Board, the project management group, and other joint committees; maintaining the project roadmap and risk register; coordinating deliverables; and supporting quality procedures, documentation standards, and project reporting.

You will work closely with work package leads and administrative teams at NAISS and RISE, as well as internal and external stakeholders across academia, industry, the public sector, and partners within the EuroHPC Joint Undertaking, the EU’s high-performance computing infrastructure. This role is pivotal in ensuring excellence in Mimer’s activities related to technology, research, and innovation. The position requires 

 The person we need

The person we need is independennt with strong communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, goal-oriented environment.

The following education, experience and expertise are required:

  • A master’s degree in project management, engineering, natural sciences, computer science, or other relevant field.
  • Documented experience in project management and coordination within research, innovation, or technology environments.
  • Understanding of and experience with various project management methodologies.
  • Excellent skills in organising workflows, maintaining project documentation, and tracking progress in multi-party teams.
  • Proven ability to work independently and proactively with a sound judgement and a structured approach.
  • Outstanding communication skills in Swedish and English, both written and spoken.
  • Experience with producing reports, minutes, and high-quality presentations.
  • Several years of experience providing qualified executive support.
  • Strong ability to simultaneously manage multiple tasks, deadlines, and priorities.
  • Proficiency in digital collaboration tools (CRM systems, project management platforms, document management systems).

In addition, the following education, experience and expertise will strengthen an application:

  • Experience working in large-scale research projects, national infrastructures, EU-funded initiatives, or multi-party collaborations.
  • A background in AI, computer science, HPC, digital infrastructure, or similar technical domains.
  • Familiarity with ISO-aligned quality systems (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 27001) and continuity planning.
  • Experience preparing materials for audits, reviews, or evaluations.
  • Knowledge of quality assurance principles and structured workflows (QA plans, checklists, reviews of deliverables).
  • Previous work with CRM or pipeline tools (e.g. Pipedrive) to track user engagement and project throughput.
  • Experience with coordinating academia and industry.

The employment

Permanent position, full-time, 100%. Starting date by agreement.

The position involves a role as Coordinator.

This position may come to be a security classified position. If so, security screening including a records check will be carried out before any decision on employment is made.
