In a series of interdisciplinary research projects and initiatives, we study the role, function and importance of cultural heritage in contemporary and historical contexts with the overall aim of developing a critical analytical understanding of the role of cultural heritage in society.

Research on heritage at the Division of Culture, Society, Design and Media has a broad focus, including the study of oral history, digitization, musealisation and education.

DigiCONFLICT. Digital Heritage in Cultural Conflicts

DigiCONFLICT is an international research consortium funded by Joint Programming Initiative on Cultural Heritage (JPICH), exploring the impact of digital heritage in nationally framed cultural conflicts.
