The division conducts problem-oriented cultural science research and
teaching at the intersection of the humanities and social sciences. It includes Culture and Society (Tema Q), Culture Society & Media Design (KSM), and Craft & design.


Our activity aims to develop a critical/analytical understanding of the role of culture in society, both in the present and in the past.

Inaugural lecture Bodil Axelsson: Museums and the cultural heritage of digitalisation

3.00 pm – 5.00 pm Room K3, Kåkenhus building, Campus Norrköping and on Zoom.

Museums have been addressing digitalisation for decades. Collections are converted to digital format, digital screens are displayed in exhibitions and questions are asked about how digital cultures should be saved. In her inaugural lecture, Bodil Axelsson will discuss how digitalisation of museums can be understood. The lecture is held in Swedish and open to the general public. Do you want to attend on campus?
