Within the research field ”Shoulder problems – assessment, treatment and outcome measures” at Linköping University, several studies in the area of physiotherapy is on-going and performed in close co-operation with primary health care and orthopedics.

Research aiming to evaluate treatment efficacy, both short- and long-term, to guide future rehabilitation strategies. Randomized clinical trials (RCT) regarding exercises as well as qualitative studies to explore the patients experience of rehabilitation i.e. support and guidance for increased participation and improved adherence to rehabilitation strategies.
