Researchers at LiU are opening the gateway to AI in mobile networks
Professor Erik G. Larsson, together with co-investigator Zheng Chen, Associate Professor in Communication Systems, is using their grant from the Knut and Alice Wallenberg Foundation for a new concept for traffic on wireless networks.

Swedish-Chinese collaboration in 5G technology
People say that 5G will be upon us in 2020, offering 1000 times more traffic at rates of hundreds of Mbit/s. There are many research projects in 5G under way, but probably only one of them is a Swedish-Chinese collaboration.

Two new Wallenberg Scholars at LiU
Researchers Feng Gao and Daniel Västfjäll at LiU have been appointed as new Wallenberg Scholars. In addition, six LiU researchers will have their scholar periods extended. Each researcher receives between SEK 18 and 20 million for five years.

Erik G. Larsson is one of three newly elected members to the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences (KVA). Larsson is professor at Linköping University and head of the Division of Communication Systems in the Department of Electrical Engineering.
