The position

The research group focuses on epigenetics in infection and immune disorders. The position will include laboratory work with infection experiments involving isolation of primary cells, using laboratory robotics to handle large experiments, handling of software and automated bioinformatic pipelines for high content image analyses. You will also write manuscripts. 

The person we need

We are looking for someone with an academic degree and a PhD. As a person you are self-driven, persistent and quality-conscious. You are serviceminded and handle oral communication well.

We want you to have documented experience in independent manuscript writing including generation of figures, figure legends, submission procedure and manuscript revision. 

We also want you to have experience in the following methods/techniques: 

  • IncuCyte-based automated microscopy

  • Isolation and cultivation of primary cells

  • Programming in R for bioinformatic analyses of high-dimensional data

  • High-throughput infection experiments

It is advantageous if you have documented experience in research on tuberculosis, type 1 diabetes, epigenetics and macrophage biology.

It is also advantageous if you have experience in the following methods/techniques:

  • Microbiological techniques
  • Omics technologies including proteomics, epigenomics, RNA sequence analyses

You have very good knowledge of English in both spoken and written form.

The workplace

The position is located in The Division of Inflammation and Infection. The division provides a vibrant research environment capturing a wide range of focus areas within immunity-related topics.

The employment is a temporary contract between 250415-251015. Fulltime. 

Starting date 250415.
