We are now seeking a Research Assistant in Product Realisation, to be located at the Department of Economic and Industrial Development.

The position

You will work with research and method development in powder bed electron beam additive manufacturing (EB-PBF), with a focus on AI-driven process planning, heat simulation, and process optimization. The work includes developing physics-based AI models for thermal analysis, optimizing process parameters, and integrating measurement data into models and analysis chains. A central part of the role is contributing to the development of knowledge structures that support automated and data-driven process planning. Your work will therefore form an important part of a larger initiative aimed at developing a digital twin of the process to enable improved and optimized process outcomes.
