A research environment for the Managing the Incident Site of Tomorrow

We work closely together with authorities, non-profit organizations and civil volunteers in creating a testbed where various technologies, methods and ways of organizing rescue operations are tested and evaluated. Promising results can then be made directly practically applicable.

In the research  environment “Managing the Incident Site of Tomorrow” (MIST) we study and develop the incident site from different perspectives, combining relevant disciplines and knowledge areas such as economics and organization, informatics, computer science, emergency medicine, traumatology, juridical studies, policy science, cognitive science and gender studies.

We work together with the rescue services, the ambulance services, the Police, the alarm centres, relevant authorities and non-profit organizations and civil volunteers in creating a testbed where various technologies, methods and ways of organizing rescue operations are tested and evaluated. Promising results can then be made directly practically applicable, e.g. in exercises, courses or commercial products.
