Exchange studies at LiU

Experience Sweden and make friends from all over the world!

Be part of an unforgettable experience!

Each year Linköping University (LiU) welcomes around one thousand exchange students. Take the chance to become one of them and come study at LiU for a summer, one semester or for a whole year. Studying abroad is not just new knowledge, but a life-changing experience.

LiU has a wide range of courses taught in English, covering various fields of studies. Take a look at the courses offered by each faculty and find the courses suitable for you. Contact the international studies coordinator at your home university to find out more about exchange programmes. LiU's application deadlines are 15 April for the autumn semester and for exchange studies lasting the full academic year, and 15 October for the spring semester.

We are looking forward to seeing you at LiU!

COVID-19 and common questions

Most restrictions to reduce the spread of COVID-19 in Sweden have ceased to apply and LiU is back to normal. Some recommendations, such as having to stay at home when you think you might have COVID-19, and avoiding crowding and large gatherings if you are unvaccinated, continue to apply.

We can also help with practical matters regarding student activities and campus life, visa and insurance matters, which bus to take into town or even how to find a suitable doctor.
