Artificial Intelligence (AI) is expected to play an integral role in future society. My research aims to explore and develop the necessary competencies teachers and teacher educators need to address the changes AI is expected to bring in education.

In recent years, interest in and use of Artificial Intelligence (AI), machine learning and other data-driven technologies has grown, and these technologies are expected to play an increasingly important role in the future. Within education, AI has been highlighted as a tool to facilitate both teaching and learning. These technologies also bring about challenges and risks to teachers and students not wholly understood today.

In my research, I want to understand how AI may affect the teaching profession and what knowledge and skills teachers and teacher educators need to meet these technological developments.
