Presentation

A sustainable everyday life that includes work for persons with stroke fagiue.

My thesis focuses on persons of working age who experience post stroke fatigue (PSF) and the challenges they face in creating a sustainable everyday life that includes work. Returning to work after a stroke is beneficial for health, quality of life, autonomy, and perceived participation, making it an important goal of rehabilitation. However, returning to work after a stroke can also lead to deteriorating health over time and reduced ability to participate in occupations and roles outside of work.

Research project

This research project focuses on working aged people experiencing post stroke fatigue (PSF) and the challenges they encounter in establishing a sustainable everyday life that includes work. Return to work after stroke is beneficial for health, quality of life, autonomy and perceived participation, and thus an important goal for rehabilitation. However, returning to work after stroke may also yield a price to pay in terms of deterioration of health over time and a lack of energy to engage in occupations outside work.
