Presentation

The primary aim of my research is to explore ways to support individuals with chronic illnesses in maintaining activity and participation in their daily lives. I have a particular interest in investigating how digital technologies, such as exergame, can enhance opportunities for engagement, inclusion, and health. My work is closely connected to the principles of Integrated Care and its interaction with broader societal contexts.

Research

Heart-eXg

My PhD project is a part of an international randomized controlled trial (RCT), called the Heart-exergame (Heart-eXg) study. This study aims to reduce sedentary behavior among individuals with individuals with chronic conditions through smartphone-based exergaming, which encourages movement tailored to each participant's physical capabilities. Within this project, my specific focus is on how the intervention affects participants' daily life and their ability to perform daily activities.
