Zheng Chen

Associate Professor

Zheng Chen is an Assistant Professor at the Division of Communication Systems, Department of Electrical Engineering, Linköping University, Sweden.

She received her B.Sc. degree in Optoelectronics from Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST), China, in 2011. Then she received the M.Sc. degree in 2013 and Ph.D. degree in 2016, both from CentraleSupélec, Université Paris-Saclay, France. She has been working at Linköping University since 2017.

Research interests

Her research interests include stochastic geometry and its applications, decentralized machine learning over wireless networks, and information dissemination over complex networks.

• Swedish Research Council (VR) starting grant for research on “Next-Generation Communication Design for Distributed Intelligence over Wireless Networks”, 2023-2026.
Wallenberg AI, Autonomous Systems and Software Program (WASP) academic PhD student project on “Decentralized Machine Learning over Large-Scale Wireless Device-to-Device Networks”.
• Zenith project grant for research on “Wireless Network Design for Decentralized Machine Learning”.
• Knut and Alice Wallenberg research grant for the project “Turning the air into an AI computer”. The project is led by Erik G. Larsson (LiU), with Mikael Johansson (KTH), Carlo Fischione (KTH) and me as co-PI(s).
