This project addresses transitions in the early school years, how they are accomplished and understood, and how children and adults make meaning in connection with them.

In relation to transitions, age and aging as well as the norms concerning these aspects are made visible in a school context. Specifically examined is the transition from preschool to first grade, and thereby also questions about starting school, boundaries, the role of preschool, etc.
