Electronic roses - a world first

It all starts with an idea from organic electronics researchers at the Laboratory of Organic Electronics (LOE). They want to test whether they can put electricity into a living plant. But financial backers are unenthusiastic at first. Who would dare throw money at such a crazy project, one that might be a total flop? Four years later, Eleni Stavrinidou, associate professor and research leader in electronic plants at LOE, has received circa SEK 15 million from the European Research Council (ECR).
