The position

We are recruiting a Principal Research Engineer in cancer biology to work on a project related to the discovery of oncogenic transcription co-factors in human cancers. The successful applicant will be primarily tasked with performing TurboID-based proximity proteomics on various human cancer cell lines. Additional tasks include validation assays in human cancer tissue samples and cell lines using state-of-the-art protein-protein interaction assays such as proximity ligation assays and affinity purification / co-IP. Further work may include additional assays based on standard molecular biology techniques.

The person we need

We are looking for someone with a PhD degree in cell or molecular biology, or related fields. The applicant must have working experience with the following critical techniques:

- Mass spectrometry (performance and analysis).

- Proximity ligation techniques (e.g., BioID, TurboID, PLA).

- Handling and analysis of human cancer tissue samples.

- Extensive experience with cell or tissue culture.

- Extensive experience with standard molecular biology techniques (e.g., immunoblotting, immunostaining, immunoprecipitation, molecular cloning).

Working experience with human cancer cell lines is meriting, but not required.

You are a self-motivated and dependable researcher who works well in a team and can communicate well in English in both speaking and writing. You should also have a good publication track record corresponding to your career age.
