Young children are curious and want to learn more about the world surrounding them. My passion is to contribute to a history education for young children that is meningful and help them understand themselves and the world around them.
HOW and WHAT do preschool staff and children do when they work history?
This is the question I try to answer in my uppcoming thesis.
In my thesis I study how three different preschools with children aged 1-6 years old work history. My thesis has an ethnographic approach to study the phenomena in situ. The WHAT fokuses on historical time and the scientific foundation for knowledge about the past. The HOW is through different forms of tellings and aesthetics.
