Maria Fors

I am a PhD-student and my research covers physiotherapeutic treatment for patient with low back pain and Degenerative lumbar spine disorders.

Physiotherapeutic treatment in Low back pain

My future thesis focuses on physiotherapeutic treatment in low back pain (LBP). Today, evidence for physiotherapeutic treatments in LBP is based on studies of low quality, giving little knowledge about the best treatment. Few studies investigate the mediating factors of treatment.

I´m researching the effects of a best physiotherapeutic model of care in patients with LBP (called BetterBack:)) and in patients with Degenerative lumbar spine disorders.

I´m also investigating factors that can affect treatment outcome as well as mediating factors behind the effect of a best practice model of care.
