Presentation
Though my early interests included quantum chemical modeling of electronic structure in condensed organic materials, my research is now centered on experimental studies of semiconducting and conducting organic and hybrid organic systems.
The approach is to do "basic" science on topics of technological importance. A wide variety of surface science techniques are used with emphasis on photoelectron spectroscopy and x-ray absorption, carried out at synchrotron radiation laboratories and using XPS/UPS equipment in our labs.
