Vladimir Kozlov

I am interested in mathematics and its applications to real life problems. I am convinced that mathematics plays and will play a very important role in numerous applications. Mathematics delivers a universal language to describe structures and relations, and which can be used in all real life problems. 

My current interests lie in applications of mathematics in biology, medicine and water wave theory. As a mathematician my fields of interests are partial differential equations and inverse problems.

Mathematical Modelling of the Blood Circulatory System

Mathematical models of the circulatory system can be used in order to better understand the system and so help diagnose blood-vascular diseases and other problems while also enabling planning for the treatment of these diseases.

Inverse Problems in Natural Sciences

Solutions of inverse problems involve finding parameters of a physical system by using some measurements and a mathematical model describing the system. Such problems are often found in applications and their importance will increase in the future.
