Kajsa Johansson

Senior Associate Professor

I am a researcher and teacher. I teach physiotherapy students at different academic levels. My motive force is the development of evidence to support clinical reasoning in the clinical assessment process and to guide physiotherapeutic interventions.

Presentation

I am senior researcher and PI fort three major research projects:

  • The PainSMART-project - evaluate a digital tool to influence the clinical encounter and patient centred communication for patients seeking primary care due to musculoskeletal pain.
  • The SWEdish CONcussion study in elite handball (SWECON) -research conducted via a research agreement with the Swedish Handball Federation (SHF) recording headinjuries/concussion.
  • The RELOAD-project – evaluates implementation of an evidence-based rehab-strategy for primary care patients with tendinopathy.

Within the academy, I am course manager and examination-in chief and I have a great pedagogical interest in my role as a lecturer and teacher in practical sessions/workshops. I also have an assignment as Head of the unit for injuries related to physical activity and sports, Region of Östergötland, Sweden.
