My research focuses on machine learning methods for the analysis of mass-spectrometry data with applications in forensic science.

Research

My research focuses on methods for the analysis of liquid chromatography high-resolution mass spectrometry (LC-HRMS) data with machine learning. LC-HRMS is a powerful tool for many application areas, but current (pre-)processing tools are still limited. I am interested in using machine learning to fill some of these gaps.

My primary application is postmortem metabolomics and forensic medicine as I collaborate with the Swedish National Board of Forensic Medicine (Rättsmedicinalverket). Our aim is to develop new methods for death investigations, such as automated cause-of-death screening based on blood samples.
