My research is mainly focussed on ethnicity in terms of language, culture and religion and the construction of national and ethnic identities.

Research into ethnicity in terms of language, culture and religion

My research background is within the field of ethnic and migration studies. I am interested in how difference based on ethnic categories are negotiated, articulated and re/constructed in everyday practice and in narratives.

A professor drawn to thorny issues

An doctoral student position was what brought Tünde Puskas to Sweden. She is now a professor whose motivation is researching areas no one has looked into before – such as how integration, religion and death are dealt with in pre-school context.

Working with Eurovision in school-age educare center

This project examines the role of the Mello (the Swedish competition for Eurovision) in  school-age centre, focusing on how the Mello takes place in children's everyday life and how teachers use the Mello in teaching and activities.
