Education at Environmental Change

The Environmental Change unit has a comprehensive educational setting. It offers two Bachelor’s programmes (Environment, climate and sustainable development and Physical Geography - Technology and Landscapes), a Master’s programme (Master in Science for Sustainable Development) and postgraduate studies. We also pursue several single subject courses in Environmental Science, Sustainable Development and Geography. The overall ambition is to educate students with the ability to integrate and communicate natural- and social scientific perspectives on environmental- and sustainability issues at the local, national and global level.

Science for Sustainable Development, Master's Programme, 120 credits

Provides students with knowledge on environmental change and the challenges of creating a sustainable society for a career in research or outside academia. Students learn how to use relevant analytical tools for studies of environmental change.

Geography

Today, environmental challenges and consequences of human use of natural resources are key challenges. Geography is about understanding the planet, and such challenges, from different analytical approaches, are at the heart of studies in geography.
