Abhijeet Behera successfully defended his licentiate thesis, with the title "Performance assessment of long combination vehicles using Naturalistic Driving Data" on April 16th.

Abhijeet is a PhD student at the Division of Vehicular Systems (FS) and VTI, supervised by Docent Sogol Kharrazi from LiU/VTI and Professor Erik Frisk from LiU. The Examiner was Professor Daniel Axehill from LiU, and the opponent was Docent Mats Jonasson from Chalmers.

“Skin in a syringe” a step towards a new way to heal burns

Researchers have created what could be called “skin in a syringe”. The gel containing live cells can be 3D printed into a skin transplant, as shown in a study conducted on mice. This technology may lead to new ways to treat burns and severe wounds.
