Karin Wigger, Institutionen för ekonomisk och industriell utveckling (IEI), håller sin docentföreläsning i Industriell ekonomi med inriktning mot industriell organisation, måndagen den 12 oktober. Föreläsningens titel är:
Entrepreneuring Together: For the Better? On collective action, competing imaginaries and the troubles of industrial transformation
Industrial transformation requires actors to work across organizational boundaries, including with competitors, to develop new practices, arrangements, and systems while remaining part of the industries they aim to transform. Drawing on research across diverse sectoral and place-based settings, this lecture explores the tensions between collective action and competition, entrepreneurial agency and entrapment, and established arrangements and imagined futures. It then turns to a more situated understanding of transformation, drawing on research on tinkering to ask how actors might create room for alternative ways of organizing and valuing economic activity. This points towards entrepreneuring together as a way of making alternative possibilities tangible, while recognizing that what counts as “better” may itself remain plural and open to change.
Föreläsningen hålls på engelska.

Entrepreneuring Together: For the Better? On collective action, competing imaginaries and the troubles of industrial transformation
Abstrakt
Entrepreneuring is often understood as a source of change. But what happens when change cannot be created alone, and when actors do not share the same imaginaries of what change should look like?Industrial transformation requires actors to work across organizational boundaries, including with competitors, to develop new practices, arrangements, and systems while remaining part of the industries they aim to transform.
