In my role as Associate Professor and Senior Lecturer in Art History and Visual Communication I have a particular focus on architecture and design. My research explores public cultural buildings, domestic spaces, architectural criticism in public discourse, theoretical frameworks in architecture, the concept of the ideal home, and built cultural heritage. These topics are mainly approached through discourse analysis, rhetoric and historiography. Current projects investigate architectural criticism in a historiographical context and the architect’s home from different perspectives.
I teach across all levels—from introductory to advanced—in subjects including visual art, architecture, design, and academic writing. Furthermore I am involved in supervising and examining student theses and serve as a doctoral advisor.
