Assistant Professor

My academic pursuit centers on blending international strategy with corporate entrepreneurship, spotlighting the strategic development and selection of subsidiary initiatives within multinationals to foster global innovation and competitiveness.

Presentation

From 2021 to 2024, I served as an Assistant Professor of International Strategy at the department of Management & Organization, VU Amsterdam. I am also Associated Researcher at Uppsala University's International Business Group, Department of Business Studies, where I earned my PhD in 2021. Additionally, my academic journey included a period as visiting researcher at WU Wien, Austria.

Research

My research lies at the intersection of international strategy and corporate entrepreneurship, particularly my special focus is on the development and selection of subsidiary initiatives in multinational corporations. Investigating e.g. the role of a subsidiary’s bases of power within the corporation and success of managerial initiative-selling.

Methods: FsQCA, quantitative (LISREL-SEM, regressions) and qualitative (interviews).

Teaching

I have significant experience from teaching over a broad spectrum of courses in English and Swedish with topics ranging from international management and strategy, cross-cultural management, organization behaviour and marketing.

Over the years I have also supervised numerous master thesis projects on topics such as subsidiary innovation management and knowledge creation in the firm.
