My thesis focuses on spatial inequalities and activity spaces using causal and machine learning methods.

Presentation

I am a Ph.D. student in Analytical Sociology. My research focuses on
spatial inequalities using causal and machine learning methods. I use the
Swedish register data for my research.

My work centers around how space create and sustains inequalities. My research aims at showing that individuals’ spatial patterns and mobility shapes their life chances, e.g. education, criminality, employment opportunities. To do so, I combine the Swedish register data with innovative data sources like OpenStreetMap. I am part of a research project entitled “Register-based Machine Learning” and linked to the Swedish Network for Register-Based Research.
