PhD student

Artificial intelligens and topics in planning

I am a WASP PhD student and part of the Representation Learning and Planning lab.

In the past, I have focused on state-of-the-art deep learning technologies in computer vision. Nowadays my main research interested has shifted to topics in planning.

I did both my Bachelor's and Master's degree in Computer Science at the Dresden University of Technology. After a stay abroad I became a PhD student at the Representation Learning and Planning lab and the project Representation Learning for Acting and Planning (The RLeap project).

The RLeap project aims at bringing together two of the main current research threads in Artificial Intelligence:

  • Data-based learners capable of inferring behavior and functions from experience and data.
  • Model-based solvers capable of tackling well-defined but intractable models.
