The division of Language, Culture and Interaction (SKI) conducts teaching and research in language, literature, culture and interaction.

Within the subject English we offer single-subject courses and courses that are included in the teacher programs and other programs at Linköping University.

Our research is centered around the interplay between language and culture, in everyday, literary or professional contexts.

Riksbankens Jubileumsfond grants over SEK 23 million to research projects in the humanities and social sciences at Linköping University. These include the significance of names, the consequences of uranium mining, political polarisation, and robots.

Eiko Yasui is from Japan. For a year, she has been researching language, grammar, and movements at Linköping University. Her work has provided new insights into how we communicate and interact, and she has thoroughly enjoyed the Swedish work culture.
